Fifty years at the wheel
I've worked with ceramics since 1973 — a teacher for most of my life, and now, in retirement, a potter. From my workshop in Rusthall, near Tunbridge Wells, I throw a range of one-off domestic ware, reduction-fired to 1280°C.
My two favourite glazes have been with me for decades: a rutile blue developed from Stephen Murfitt's recipe, and a tenmoku I've personalised since my early days making pottery in Coventry in the '70s.
